Overview
Spyndle needed a marketing site with a clean homepage and a blog that loads quickly. I built the site from Figma designs with a custom WordPress theme, reusable blocks, and lightweight animations. The blog includes an AJAX category filter and a Load More feature, giving readers a smooth browsing experience without page reloads.
In addition to the website, I developed AI Checker, a bespoke WordPress plugin that monitors brand visibility across AI answer engines like Perplexity and ChatGPT. The plugin handles queries, extracts citation sources, and reports how often a brand is mentioned, complete with rate limits, caching, and a user-friendly interface.

Problem

They also lacked a tool to measure how visible their brand was across the new wave of AI-driven answer engines.

I built the site from Figma with a custom WordPress theme, reusable blocks, and lightweight animations. Alongside the website, I developed AI Checker, a bespoke WordPress plugin that queries AI engines, collects citation sources, and reports brand mentions in a clear dashboard.
Challenge
The main challenge was balancing performance with flexibility. The site had to stay fast while handling dynamic features like AJAX filtering. On the plugin side, it required integrating multiple APIs, implementing rate limits, and building a cache layer so the tool could scale without excessive costs or downtime.
Results
The Spyndle site now combines speed and clarity. The homepage is fully design-accurate to the original Figma files, while the AJAX-powered blog ensures readers can explore content without interruptions. Beyond the site itself, the AI Checker plugin gives the team a reliable way to track how often their brand appears in AI answer engines, providing insights that were previously time-consuming to gather.
